I'm gonna drink Butter Shots, I'm gonna sing a lot a lot

Another great use for the marshmallow skin is as an impromptu shot glass. Pull the browned mallow off the uncooked inside, gently place in your mouth with the hole facing up/out. Tilt your head back and have a willing accomplice fill the mallow glass (currently held in your mouth) with butter ripple schnapps or Irish cream. And then drop the whole boozy, toasty, caramelized concoction into your mouth. Classy.

Toasted marshmallow + Butter Shots? Genius!

  3. P.S. - We did this! It was fun. We tried various combinations. The original suggestions of Butter Shot and Bailey's were the best, and the Godiva chocolate liqueur was good too. I found that pinching the marshmallow shut formed a little cup -- much more effective than having someone pour alcohol into your mouth, although that has its charms too.

  4. How did you toast the marshmallows? Over the grill? S and I talked about trying this, but we kept on getting stuck at the marshmallow toasting part. Maybe it could be done in the toaster. I have a feeling it would turn into a big (but DELICIOUS) mess.

  5. Over the gas stove. We also tried the kitchen torch but it didn't work nearly as well. The marshmallows got nice and brown on the outside, but they were still pretty solid on the inside.
