Belt style

Did you know that wide belts are not recommended for short-waisted women?  Every article I've read seems to agree that short-waisted women should wear skinny belts or no belts, and definitely no belts in outfit-contrasting colors.

... this is after I just bought three non-returnable wide belts.  Two in bright contrast colors.

Also, the American Apparel site is full of topless women.  (If you would like to see one, try the "nail polish" section and scroll through the images at the top.  It was not what I was expecting to see when shopping online for nail polish.)

  1. Are you a short-waisted woman? I definitely agree with that advice for me -- if I wore a wide belt, especially in a contrasting color, it would make me look lumpy and stumpy. But if you just bought them, then you must have liked them, so why worry?

  2. I'm not best known for my good fashion decisions, though. :S

I thought I was a short-waisted woman, but after some more online research, it appears that I am merely short-proportioned all around (short-waisted is apparently relative to the rest of you, like if your length from armpit to waist is less than your length from waist to bottom of your butt). Unfortunately, wide belts aren't recommended for short people either.

I haven't given up hope, though, that the wide belts will somehow magically work for me. Pictures when they arrive.
